I had the joy of painting this highly personal mural for the Jackson family in Baton Rouge. I painted most of the imagery in my home studio on plywood, which had some light framing on the back, which was painted and sealed with exterior varnish. The front and edges had an even more durable catalyzed clear coat to protect them. I attached them to the wall using mostly L-brackets, thought the alma mater symbols are directly attached. I then painted the floral swirls and lettering. Brian Jackson said his wife cried when he surprised her with it!
